Bhopal: 3 Injured as Car, School Bus Collide Head-On

A serious road accident involving a private school bus and a car left three members of a family injured in Bhopal on Monday. The head-on collision occurred on the Rampura–Tarawali Khurd Road in the Berasia area, sending both vehicles off the road and into nearby fields.

Panic After the Crash, Children Unhurt

The incident took place around 12:30 pm when the minibus, operated by a private school, was dropping children back to their homes after school hours. According to Berasia SHO Virendra Sen, a car coming from the opposite direction crashed directly into the bus.

While the sudden impact caused significant panic among those present, 10 to 12 schoolchildren travelling in the bus had a fortunate escape and were reported to be unharmed. The immediate aftermath saw scenes of alarm as people rushed to assist.

Family in Car Suffers Serious Injuries

The occupants of the car bore the brunt of the collision. The three injured individuals include a man, his wife, and their 20-year-old son. All three sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Police officials confirmed that after receiving medical attention, the condition of the injured family members stabilized and they are now out of danger. The force of the collision was such that both vehicles veered off the tarmac and landed in adjoining agricultural fields.

Local Authorities Investigate

The police have registered a case and are investigating the exact cause of the head-on collision on the Berasia road. Initial reports suggest a loss of control or possible misjudgment may have led to the tragic incident.

Such accidents highlight ongoing concerns about road safety on connecting roads in the region. The local administration often reiterates the need for cautious driving, especially during peak hours when school transport is active.

The timely response from emergency services ensured the injured received prompt care. Further investigations are underway to determine liability and prevent similar occurrences on this stretch.
