Divya alleged that both of Munikrishna's sons—Mohan Kumar, the elder, and Gajendra, the younger—participated in the assault using a baseball bat. Initially, Indiranagar police arrested Mohan on charges of attempt to murder. However, following Munikrishna's death in the hospital, the case was promptly converted into a murder investigation, underscoring the severity of the crime.
