A high-end electric SUV crashed into several stationary vehicles in South Delhi's Okhla area on Tuesday afternoon, leaving its driver injured. The incident, which caused significant damage to multiple cars, occurred around lunchtime on a service road.

According to the police, the chain of events began around 12:40 pm on Tuesday. Authorities received two PCR calls alerting them to a major collision on the service road in front of A-230, Okhla Phase I. A police team rushed to the spot to assess the situation.
Officials discovered that an Audi Q8 e-tron SUV, bearing a registration plate from Himachal Pradesh, was the vehicle involved. The luxury electric car apparently lost control, initiating a series of impacts.
The SUV first collided with three parked cars that were unoccupied at the time. The force of the initial crash was not enough to stop the vehicle. It continued moving forward before its final collision with the rear end of a stationary truck. This impact finally brought the out-of-control Audi to a halt.
Injuries and Immediate Aftermath
The driver of the Audi SUV was the sole casualty in the multi-vehicle pile-up. The injured driver was promptly shifted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.
Fortunately, no other individuals were hurt. As confirmed by a senior police officer, none of the damaged vehicles had any occupants inside them at the moment of impact. This prevented what could have been a more severe tragedy involving pedestrians or other motorists.
