Sequence of the Collision

The accident occurred around 12:41 pm on Monday. According to the South East district police, the white Audi Q8 e-tron was being driven on a service road when the driver reportedly lost control.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the luxury electric vehicle first collided with three parked cars. The force of the impact was such that the Audi continued moving forward before finally crashing into the rear portion of a stationary truck, which brought it to a halt.

All the vehicles that were struck were parked and unoccupied at the time, preventing further casualties.

Driver's Account and Immediate Aftermath

The injured driver, identified as Babu Lal, a resident of Madhubani in Bihar, was swiftly transported to the AIIMS Trauma Centre in a PCR van. He received treatment and was later released from the hospital.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Hemant Tiwari provided details of the driver's statement. "He said that he lost control of the car. He tried pressing the brakes, which didn't work. To save pedestrians and cars on the main road, he crashed the car into cars parked on the side of the road," stated DCP Tiwari.
