The jawan has been identified as Aman Kumar, aged 26, who was posted in Delhi. He had returned to his native place in Ranchi approximately a month ago for his wedding with a woman from the Pundag area. According to authorities, the body was first spotted by local residents around 12 noon, who promptly informed the police.
Sub-inspector Heeralal Shah of the Dhurwa police station provided further details, stating, "Preliminary investigation revealed he left his residence in Jagannathpur at around 5 pm on Sunday and did not return." This information has become a key point in the ongoing inquiry into his movements prior to the incident.
Evidence Recovered from the Scene
At the location, police recovered several items that are now part of the investigation:
- A two-wheeler was found near the body.
- Water and liquor bottles, along with cigarette packets, were also discovered at the spot.
Notably, no suicide note was recovered, which adds complexity to the case. Forensic teams were dispatched to the scene after receiving information to gather additional evidence and clues.

Sub-inspector Shah indicated that the preliminary probe suggests the jawan died by suicide. He explained, "However, the exact reason can only be ascertained after the autopsy report arrives." The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) to determine the cause of death and gather more insights.
