Alwar Horror: Husband Axes Wife to Death in Her Sleep, Arrested by Police

In a shocking and brutal incident, a 48-year-old woman was hacked to death with an axe while she slept at her home in Alwar district's Khedli Pichnaut village on Sunday evening. The police have arrested her husband in connection with the murder, revealing disturbing details about the crime and a past allegation.

Gruesome Details of the Attack

According to police reports, the accused, Kaluram Meena, returned home around 6 pm after grazing goats and found his wife, Puni Devi, asleep on a cot. In a horrific turn of events, he allegedly picked up an axe kept nearby and struck multiple blows on her neck, hands, and legs. The attack was so severe that she died on the spot, leaving the family and community in utter disbelief.

Police Investigation and Arrest

After family members learned of the incident, they immediately informed the Malakheda police station. A thorough investigation was launched, leading to the arrest of Kaluram Meena on Monday. A post-mortem was conducted on the same day, and the body was subsequently handed over to the grieving family for last rites.

Malakheda station in-charge Hardayal Singh Yadav stated that a case was registered based on the complaint filed by the deceased's brother, Dhanpal Meena of Dubbi. "The accused murdered his wife by attacking her with an axe," Yadav confirmed, highlighting the brutality of the crime.

Chilling Past Allegation Surfaces

In a disturbing revelation, police officials noted that neighbours claimed Kaluram had similarly murdered his own five-year-old child about 15 years ago. However, no police complaint was filed at the time, leaving this allegation unverified but adding a layer of horror to the current case. This past incident raises serious questions about prior violence and community awareness.

Family Background and Circumstances

The couple lived with their 25-year-old unmarried son, Sheru, who works as a labourer. Sheru was away for work when the tragic incident occurred, sparing him from witnessing the gruesome murder. The family's dynamics and any underlying tensions are now under scrutiny as investigators delve deeper into possible motives behind this heinous act.

This case underscores the urgent need for vigilance against domestic violence and prompt reporting of suspicious activities to prevent such tragedies in the future.
