Advocate Found Dead in Hamirpur; Suicide Note Cites Betrayal in 11-Year Relationship
In a tragic incident in Hamirpur, the body of a 33-year-old advocate was found hanging in his rented room, with police recovering a suicide note that pointed to betrayal in an 11-year relationship with a woman. The discovery was made on Friday night in the Amar Shaheed area under the Sadar Kotwali zone.
Discovery of the Body
An acquaintance of the advocate went to meet him at his rented residence late on Friday evening. After knocking on the door repeatedly and receiving no response, the acquaintance peered through a window and saw the advocate's body suspended from a noose. The police were immediately alerted to the scene.
Police Response and Investigation
Upon receiving the information, a team from the Sadar Kotwali police and field unit rushed to the location. The body was sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The deceased has been identified as Devi Prasad Yadav, a resident of Kusamra village under the Kurara police station area. He had been living in the rented house for approximately one year.
Contents of the Suicide Note
Police recovered a suicide note at the scene, in which Yadav expressed deep emotional distress. The note accused a woman of betraying him after an 11-year relationship. Yadav wrote that he was confident his mother would have eventually accepted the relationship, but the perceived betrayal left him unable to continue living. He thanked all his friends before signing off with his name.

Authorities are currently examining the handwriting in the suicide note and investigating its contents to verify the circumstances surrounding the death. Pawan Patel, the in-charge of Sadar Kotwali, stated that the advocate's family members have been informed of the incident. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the post-mortem report and the ongoing investigation.
