7 School Kids Injured in Giridih Truck-Auto Crash

Bokaro: Seven children from a private school sustained injuries after a speeding truck collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on the Jamtara–Giridih Main Road near Belatand village in Giridih on Saturday, police reported.

Details of the Accident

The officer in charge of the Ahilyapur police station, Ainul Haq Khan, stated, “Over a dozen students were traveling in the auto at the time of the accident. Seven sustained injuries, one of them critically. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the absconding truck driver.”

Victims and Medical Response

An 8-year-old boy from Ghosko village, Piyush Kumar Verma, suffered a fractured leg. He, along with other injured children, was taken to a local hospital, which later referred him to Dhanbad for further treatment.
