39 Arrested in Udaipur Hotel Flesh Trade Raid

In a significant crackdown on illegal activities, Udaipur police have arrested 39 young men and women allegedly involved in a flesh trade operation. The raid, which took place at Hotel Indraprastha in Semad village, has sent shockwaves through the local community.

Police Raid Uncovers Illegal Operation

Acting on a crucial tip-off, a police team led by Girwa DSP Gopal Chandel conducted a coordinated raid on Thursday. The operation targeted the hotel located within the jurisdiction of the Sayra police station area. Personnel from Sayra police station, with support from Gogunda police, swiftly moved to the location after receiving concrete information about illicit activities.

"Information was received that an illegal flesh trade racket was being operated from Hotel Indraprastha. Our teams immediately planned and executed the raid," stated a senior police officer involved in the operation.

Chaotic Scenes and Arrests

Upon entering the hotel premises, police personnel discovered several young men and women in what were described as objectionable conditions inside various rooms. The sight of the law enforcement officials triggered panic, with the accused attempting to flee in different directions.

The police team managed to apprehend all 39 individuals, who are believed to be primarily from the neighbouring state of Madhya Pradesh. In addition to the arrests, the authorities seized crucial evidence from the scene.

The seized items included:

  • Objectionable material related to the illicit trade.
  • Two four-wheeled vehicles suspected to be used in the operation.
  • Multiple mobile phones for forensic examination.

Hotel Operators Booked

The net of the investigation also ensnared the hotel's management. Hotel operators Rajesh Sharma and Rishabh Rajput were arrested for their alleged involvement in facilitating and running the illegal racket from their establishment.

Following the raid, the police have registered a formal case under relevant sections of the law. A comprehensive investigation has been initiated to uncover the full extent of the network, identify other potential accomplices, and trace the origins and modus operandi of the racket.

This operation highlights the continued vigilance of the Udaipur police against organized crime and activities that exploit vulnerable sections of society. The authorities have urged the public to come forward with any related information to help in the ongoing probe.
