According to his statement, the incident occurred on January 24 when he, along with his friends Rajveer and Harjot, were returning home from ITI towards Gill Road canal on a motorcycle. On their way, the accused allegedly surrounded them, forcibly made Satnam sit on another motorcycle, and transported him to the house of one of the accused, Harman Siyappa.
Satnam reported that he was confined in a room for approximately three hours, during which he endured repeated beatings. The assault escalated as he was attacked with sharp-edged weapons and punched, resulting in significant physical trauma. In a particularly distressing detail, the attackers removed his turban and snatched his silver chain and bracelet, adding to the severity of the crime.

The police have registered a case under sections 115(2) for voluntarily causing hurt, 126(2) for wrongful restraint, and 351(3) for criminal intimidation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). This legal action underscores the gravity of the allegations and the commitment to uphold justice under the new penal code.
Investigating officer ASI Baldev Singh confirmed that the accused have not yet been arrested, but efforts are underway to apprehend them. ACP Industrial Area B, Satvinder Virk, provided context to the incident, noting that both the complainant and the accused are students with a history of old enmity, which may have fueled the attack.
