The altercation occurred in Dukheri village, where two groups from the same locality had earlier been involved in an argument. Although the matter was initially resolved, tensions flared again around noon on Wednesday when both sides confronted each other. The dispute escalated, leading to one group opening fire. Keshav, 19, sustained gunshot wounds to his abdomen and head, collapsing at the scene in a critical condition. The incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed near the crime spot.

Response and Investigation

Local residents immediately rushed Keshav to a private hospital on the Ambala-Delhi Highway, from where he was transferred to another hospital for treatment. The Parao Station House Officer (SHO) stated that Keshav's condition is under close medical observation following surgery. After the shooting, teams from the crime investigation agency and forensic experts arrived at the scene and commenced an investigation. Authorities recovered an empty bullet shell as part of the evidence collection. Police deployment was made in the village to prevent any untoward incidents. The SHO confirmed that a detailed investigation is underway and efforts are ongoing to trace and arrest the accused.

Allegations of Death Threats

Meanwhile, the injured youth's father claimed that his son had received death threats three to four days prior to the incident. He alleged that Wednesday's attack stemmed from an ongoing personal rivalry and demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
