13-Year-Old Boy Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Patna Village
The body of a 13-year-old boy was discovered under suspicious circumstances outside his residence in Barah village, located under the Ranitalab police station area of Paliganj subdivision in Patna district, on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Bhola Kumar, son of Rajkumar Yadav.
Family Reports Missing Boy, Finds Body with Injuries
According to the boy's father, Bhola went missing from home on Saturday evening. After an extensive and frantic search throughout the night, the family returned home around 4 a.m., only to find his body lying outside the house with visible injury marks. The father alleged, "I suspect he was strangled, and someone threw his body outside the house and fled." This distressing discovery has left the family and local community in shock, raising immediate concerns about foul play.
Police and Forensic Teams Launch Investigation
Senior police officials, including Paliganj DSP-II Pankaj Sharma, along with local police personnel, promptly reached the spot to initiate an investigation. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was also called to assist in gathering evidence and analyzing the scene. SHO-cum-trainee DSP Vinay Ranjan stated, "Every aspect is being thoroughly investigated to ascertain the exact cause of death. The body has been sent to a government hospital for the postmortem. The reason for the death will be known after the autopsy report comes. We are also questioning the child's family members as part of our standard procedure."
Local Allegations of Drug Addiction Surface
During the investigation, some locals claimed that Bhola was a drug addict, suggesting that his death could potentially be linked to addiction-related activities or conflicts. However, the family has not commented on these allegations, and police are treating them as part of their broader inquiry while focusing on all possible angles, including criminal involvement and personal circumstances.
