Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates Sixth UP Agricultural Science Congress
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the sixth edition of the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Science Congress on Wednesday, marking a significant event aimed at shaping the future of farming in the state. The congress, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR), is being held at the Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research in Lucknow.
Focus on Agricultural Transformation and National Vision
This year's theme, "Transforming Agriculture for Viksit Krishi–Viksit Bharat @ 2047", highlights the state's commitment to aligning agricultural growth with the broader national goal of achieving a developed India by 2047. The event brings together leading agricultural scientists, policymakers, and experts to deliberate on innovative strategies and sustainable practices.
Honoring Scientific Contributions
During the inauguration, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath felicitated selected scientists for their outstanding contributions to agricultural research and innovation. According to UPCAR Director General Sanjay Singh, 15 scientists were honored under the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Vaigyanik Samman Yojana (2025–26), recognizing their efforts in advancing the agricultural sector.
