Uttar Pradesh is making significant strides in green energy and sustainable industrial development. Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi' shared this vision at the 5th Green Energy and Sustainability Conclave in Lucknow on Friday.
State's Commitment to Green Initiatives
Nandi addressed the event organized by ASSOCHAM. He emphasized the state government's dedication to promoting renewable energy sources. The minister also stressed the importance of building an eco-friendly industrial ecosystem across Uttar Pradesh.
Leadership and National Recognition
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, Uttar Pradesh has gained a new identity on the national stage. The state now enjoys a fresh perception regarding investment opportunities and industrial growth potential.
Solar Policy Incentives
The minister highlighted Uttar Pradesh's new solar policy as a key driver for renewable energy expansion. This policy offers substantial incentives to attract investments. These include a complete stamp duty exemption for solar plant installations. Additionally, solar projects receive a full waiver on electricity charges for ten years.
These measures have strengthened the renewable energy sector significantly. They are drawing large-scale investments into the state's green energy infrastructure.
Support for Investors and Entrepreneurs
Nandi described the state government as a "double-engine" administration. He explained that it provides step-by-step support to investors and entrepreneurs. This approach ensures a conducive environment for industrial growth across Uttar Pradesh.
Transformation from Corruption to Model State
The minister pointed out Uttar Pradesh's remarkable transformation. Before 2017, the state struggled with corruption issues. Today, it stands as a model state for investment and industrial development.
Tangible Results Over Promises
Nandi highlighted several government initiatives based on concrete outcomes. These include the Global Investors' Summit and upcoming ground-breaking projects. The combined value of these projects approaches nearly six lakh crore rupees.
The government's efforts focus on delivering real results rather than making empty promises. This practical approach is driving Uttar Pradesh's progress in green energy and industrial sectors.
