Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday inaugurated a series of development projects with a total value of Rs 16.26 crore in the Amb sub-division of Una district. These initiatives are strategically aimed at bolstering local infrastructure and enhancing connectivity for residents in the region.
Key Infrastructure Projects Unveiled
The chief minister dedicated the newly upgraded Takarla–Baduhi road via Nei-Abadi, which has been developed at a cost of Rs 6.57 crore. This 5-kilometre stretch is anticipated to significantly benefit over 11,000 people by improving transportation and access.
Road and Bridge Development
In addition, Sukhu inaugurated the 6.5-kilometre Amb–Gagret–Harijan Basti road, accompanied by a newly constructed bridge. This project was completed with an investment of Rs 9.5 crore, further strengthening the road network in the area.
Community Facilities Enhancement
The CM also unveiled the Samarthya Gyandeep Library and Gymnasium at Maidi Khas, which was built at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh. This facility is designed to provide educational and fitness resources to the local community.
CM Sukhu's Vision for Development
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasised the broader significance of these projects. He stated that roads and bridges are not merely physical structures but serve as "bridges of development and opportunity" for villages, fostering growth and connectivity.
During the event, the chief minister also took the opportunity to listen to public grievances, underscoring his administration's commitment to addressing local concerns and ensuring responsive governance.
