  • If a husband and wife live together and a house or plot is registered in either spouse's name, only one of them can avail the benefit.
  • Applicants must have been residing in the village for at least five years.
  • Beneficiaries must provide a certificate from the village Sarpanch stating that they have not previously availed the benefits of the Sardar Patel Awas Yojana and do not own a house in their native village.
