Rajasthan to Set Up 400 CM-RISE Schools with Advanced Facilities

The Rajasthan state education department has initiated preparations to establish Chief Minister Rajasthan Inclusive School Education (CM-RISE) schools, as announced in the 2026-27 budget. A total of 400 such schools are planned, with the first phase involving the setup of 200 institutions.

Upgradation of Existing Government Schools

Officials confirmed that existing government schools will be upgraded to CM-RISE schools. District education officers have been directed to submit necessary details for the project. Rajesh Yadav, Secretary of School Education, stated, "We have identified around 425 schools for the project, and feasibility checks are underway for their upgradation."

Proposed Facilities and Focus Areas

The CM-RISE schools are designed to enhance academic and subject-specific laboratories, sports, wellness, and outdoor learning opportunities. The concept of "Building as a Learning Aid" will be used to improve the school environment. Digital learning and smart classroom infrastructure will also be established.

Upgraded schools will feature mathematics laboratories, learning kits for mathematics, science, and social science, functional laboratories for biology, chemistry, and physics, artificial intelligence and robotics labs, drone training setups, and two skill labs for vocational tools and equipment.

Cultural and Safety Measures

To promote arts and culture, schools will have musical instrument sets and a school band. A quarterly school magazine will be published to showcase student activities. For safety, each CM-RISE school will have a complete CCTV surveillance system, and identity cards for students, teachers, and staff. All schools will be solar-powered to ensure sustainability.

Digital Infrastructure

The department has proposed a Digital Signage System and revamped reception areas as part of the digital infrastructure upgrade.
