Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Announces Rs 1,000 Monthly Stipend for Women in Upcoming Budget

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made a significant announcement at the Maghi rally in Badal, Sri Muktsar Sahib. He declared that a Rs 1,000 monthly financial assistance scheme for every woman in the state will be rolled out through the coming budget. Mann addressed a large gathering after paying homage at Gurdwara Sri Tuti Gandi Sahib to the 40 Muktas.

Recovery of Missing Saroops: A Matter of Duty

The Chief Minister reiterated the Punjab Government's stance on the recovery of 169 missing saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He emphasized that this recovery is a matter of duty, not an achievement. Mann stated that exploiting religion for political gains has deeply hurt common people, calling it an unpardonable act.

Welfare Commitments and Healthcare Initiatives

Mann highlighted his government's commitment to fulfilling all promises made to the people of Punjab. He mentioned that 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened across the state, offering free treatment and medicines. Additionally, the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna will soon launch to provide cashless treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh.

Criticism of Opposition and Development Progress

Targeting opposition parties, Mann accused previous governments of having weak memory and waiting for elections to plunder Punjab. He claimed that the AAP's broom symbol has cleaned the political system, rattling traditional parties. On development, he noted that work on over 49,000 km of roads is progressing at full pace.

Other Key Announcements and Support

Mann announced the recruitment of more than 10,000 new police personnel to strengthen the Punjab Police. He also mentioned that public libraries have been opened for students, uninterrupted power is being supplied, and 90 percent of households receive free electricity. Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia praised the Mann government's welfare steps, saying they have received appreciation nationwide.

The rally saw the presence of Cabinet ministers and MLAs, including Aman Arora and Gurmeet Singh Khudian. Mann concluded by reaffirming that the Rs 1,000 monthly stipend for women will be fulfilled, just as other commitments have been honored.
