Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain has announced that the Government of India has invited nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2026. This prestigious national award recognizes exceptional achievements of children across the country.

Eligibility and Categories

The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is conferred upon children below 18 years of age as of July 31, 2026. The award honors those who have demonstrated excellence and outstanding contributions in various fields, including bravery, social service, environment, sports, art and culture, and science and technology. Special emphasis has been placed on encouraging nominations of talented children from among girls, economically weaker sections, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and persons with disabilities (divyang) to ensure inclusive participation.

Nomination Process

The nomination process is entirely online through the Rashtriya Puraskar portal. The nomination window is open until July 31, 2026, and only applications received within this period will be considered. All nominations or recommendations must be submitted online via the dedicated portal at https://awards.gov.in.
