Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav personally transferred a substantial amount of Rs 1,836 crore to the bank accounts of beneficiaries under the state's flagship Ladli Behna scheme. This significant financial move took place in Bhopal, marking a major step in the government's welfare initiatives.

Ambitious Financial Target for Women's Welfare

CM Yadav made an important announcement regarding the scheme's future. He revealed that by January 2026, the total amount transferred to beneficiary sisters will reach an impressive Rs 50,000 crore. This ambitious target demonstrates the government's strong commitment to women's economic empowerment across Madhya Pradesh.

Multiple Welfare Initiatives Launched Simultaneously

The Chief Minister did not stop with just the Ladli Behna transfers. He also facilitated the transfer of over Rs 90 crore as subsidy for gas cylinder refilling. This benefit reached approximately 29 lakh eligible women under the central government's Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme.

Yadav actively participated in development activities for the Sohagpur Assembly constituency. He performed the bhoomi pujan and inaugurated various development works with a combined worth of Rs 206 crore. These projects included the newly constructed circuit house at Makhan Nagar, which will serve as important infrastructure for the region.

Ceremonial Events and Historical Tributes

Before the official proceedings, CM Yadav paid floral tribute at the statue of Pt Makhanlal Chaturvedi, the eminent litterateur. This gesture honored the cultural heritage of the region. Following this tribute, Yadav hoisted the national flag at the main square. He gave a formal salute as the National Anthem played, marking the ceremonial aspect of the event.

Details of the Ladli Behna Transfer

The Chief Minister provided specific details about the Ladli Behna scheme transfer. He confirmed that this distribution represents the 32nd instalment of the program. The funds reached the bank accounts of more than 1.25 crore sisters across Madhya Pradesh.

Yadav shared his perspective on women's financial management. He stated that when money reaches women's hands, they naturally prioritize the welfare of their entire families. Women often place their own needs last while ensuring their families' well-being, according to the Chief Minister.

Progressive Increase in Assistance

The state government has been gradually increasing the assistance amount under the Ladli Behna Yojana. CM Yadav emphasized this progressive approach during his address. The government remains committed to enhancing financial support for women beneficiaries over time.

Industrial Development and Land Allocation

Beyond welfare schemes, Yadav discussed industrial development in the region. He informed attendees that 1,000 acres of land in the Babai-Mohasa industrial area have already been allotted for industrial purposes. Work is currently underway to allocate an additional 400 acres, further boosting industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh.

In a separate but related event, CM Yadav inaugurated the annual IPS Meet on Friday. During this gathering, he congratulated the state police force for their remarkable achievement in eliminating the Naxal menace from Madhya Pradesh. Yadav described their success as making an impossible task possible, highlighting the complete elimination of this security threat from the state.
