Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij has announced an incentive of Rs 1,100 from his discretionary fund for every person donating blood at blood donation camps. The announcement, made during a camp in Ambala Cantonment, generated great enthusiasm among donors and organisers alike.
Minister Highlights Value of Blood Donation
Speaking at the event organised by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Trust, Vij emphasised that blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity. He stated that when a person is struggling between life and death, every single drop of blood becomes invaluable. Vij noted that blood cannot be produced in any factory or artificially manufactured, calling it a priceless gift that one human being can give to another. This gift, he said, is capable of saving lives and offering a new beginning to those in need.
Incentive Details
The Rs 1,100 incentive will be provided from the minister's discretionary fund to all blood donors at camps across the state. This move aims to encourage more people to participate in blood donation drives and address the constant demand for blood in hospitals and emergency situations.
The announcement was met with positive reactions from attendees, with many expressing their willingness to donate blood regularly. Organisers of the camp also appreciated the initiative, stating that such incentives can significantly boost donation rates.
