Haryana CM Launches Financial Aid Scheme for Civil Services Aspirants
In a significant move to support youth in their pursuit of prestigious government careers, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced a new financial assistance program on Wednesday. The initiative, named the 'Mukhyamantri Yuva Pratibha Protsahan Yojana', aims to provide coaching expense support to economically weaker candidates who clear the preliminary examinations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC), and judicial services.
Financial Assistance Details and Eligibility Criteria
Addressing a felicitation ceremony for newly selected UPSC candidates in Chandigarh, CM Saini outlined the structured financial aid based on family income. The scheme offers varying amounts to ensure targeted support:
- Rs 70,000 for students from families with an annual income up to Rs 1 lakh.
- Rs 60,000 for those with income up to Rs 1.8 lakh.
- Rs 50,000 for candidates with income between Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 3 lakh.
- Rs 25,000 for those with income between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 5 lakh.
This tiered approach is designed to make coaching more accessible for aspirants from diverse economic backgrounds, reducing financial barriers to success in competitive exams.
Expansion of Coaching Facilities and Recognition of Achievers
In addition to financial aid, CM Saini announced that coaching for UPSC and HPSC exams will be provided through evening classes in all government universities across Haryana. This initiative aims to decentralize access to quality preparation resources, enabling students from various regions to benefit without relocating.
At the ceremony, Saini congratulated the newly selected candidates, emphasizing the immense challenge of these examinations. He noted that lakhs of candidates compete, but only those with unwavering focus and dedication succeed. He specifically hailed Akansh Dhull, who secured the third rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, along with 77 other successful candidates from Haryana.
"The IAS is not merely a job but a responsibility, a duty, and a platform for public service," Saini stated, underscoring the noble aspects of civil services.
Inspirational Insights from Top Performers
The event also featured motivational speeches from UPSC toppers, who shared their journeys to success. Akansh Dhull (Rank 3) and Zinnia Aurora (Rank 6), along with Nitish, Shagun Mehra, and Shikha, provided insights into their preparation strategies and perseverance. Their stories served as inspiration for aspiring candidates, highlighting the importance of hard work and resilience in achieving top ranks.
This comprehensive support scheme reflects Haryana's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting equitable opportunities in civil services, potentially boosting the state's representation in administrative roles.
