Puja Rituals for Ekadashi in June 2026

  1. Wake up early in the morning during Brahma Muhurat and take a holy bath.
  2. Clean the house, especially the puja room.
  3. Place a wooden plank and set up an idol of Lord Vishnu along with a Shree Yantra (symbol of Goddess Lakshmi).
  4. Light a diya with desi ghee in front of the idol.
  5. Take a sankalp (vow) to observe the fast with purity and piety.
  6. Offer Tulsi leaves, fruits, and panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, honey, sugar, and ghee) to the deity.
  7. Chant the Shri Krishna Maha Mantra 108 times to invoke the idol.
  8. In the evening, offer prayers to the Lord, recite the story of the particular Ekadashi, and chant the aarti of Lord Vishnu.
  9. Avoid plucking Tulsi leaves on Ekadashi day.
  10. Consume only fruits and milk products during the fast; however, on Nirjala Ekadashi, devotees are advised not to take any food or water.
  11. If unable to observe the Nirjala fast due to health conditions, a normal fast may be observed instead.
  12. Break the fast on the next day (Dwadashi Tithi) during the prescribed Parana time.
