CM Yogi Adityanath Reviews Jhansi Division Projects

During a review of projects in the Jhansi division on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed public representatives to acquire in-depth knowledge of the geographical, social, and developmental needs of their areas. He instructed officials to prioritize suggestions and proposals from public representatives and send action plans to the government for necessary approvals.

Focus on PWD Projects and Road Safety

While discussing PWD projects for 2026-27, Yogi emphasized that compensation from individuals or institutions for damaging PWD roads should be recovered immediately, and punitive action must be ensured against them. Officials were directed to focus on proposals related to the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana, state highways, bridges, ROBs, RUBs, connecting roads linking religious sites, flyovers, and road safety, in accordance with the order of priority determined by public representatives. The CM insisted that participation of public representatives must be ensured at foundation-laying programmes of development projects.

Principal Secretary, PWD, Ajay Kumar informed the CM that proposals for projects worth Rs 7,000 crore had been received from the division, of which 450 proposals worth Rs 3,774.34 crore were from Jhansi district.

Statewide Implementation of Jansamvad Initiative

In a separate meeting with the district administration and police, Yogi announced that the Jansamvad initiative, taken by the Jhansi DM to directly reach out to the public, will be implemented across the state. Appreciating the initiative, he said information about it should be shared with the Chief Secretary so that he can issue necessary directions for its statewide implementation. The CM also congratulated the district administration for holding hearings of cases under the ‘Nyayalaya Aapke Dwar’ programme through Jansamvad.

Action Against Illegal Activities and Malnutrition

The CM directed officials to take action against illegal mining, cow smuggling, and land and liquor mafia. To prevent illegal mining, he said CCTVs should be installed at necessary places. Yogi suggested that parents of malnourished children should be given priority under the Animal Husbandry Department’s Sahabhagita scheme, where they are given a cow from a shelter and Rs 1,500 per month for its upkeep.

Health Department and Millet Market

During a review of the Health Department, he sought information regarding payments being made to hospitals listed under the Ayushman scheme. The CM directed officials to set up a market for millet products being prepared by FPOs in the district. Assessing the status of land acquisition for the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority, the CM said that those who have given their land on lease should be given compensation or housing.
