A swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected members of the Panchayat Samiti of the Sadar development block was held at the auditorium in Bheuli in Mandi today. The event marked the formal commencement of the tenure of the newly elected representatives.
Oath Administration
Presiding Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil), Sadar, Rupinder Kaur, administered the oath of office and secrecy to all 26 members. The ceremony was attended by Sadar MLA and former minister Anil Sharma and Drang MLA Purn Chand Thakur.
Call for Dedicated Service
SDM Rupinder urged the elected members to work wholeheartedly for the development of their respective areas and the welfare of the people. She emphasized that Panchayati Raj representatives play a vital role in accelerating rural development, strengthening grassroots democracy, and addressing the day-to-day concerns of citizens.
Orientation for New Members
Chief Executive Officer of Sadar Panchayat Samiti and Block Development Officer Surender Kumar provided a detailed orientation to the newly elected members regarding the functioning of the Panchayati Raj Department. This orientation aimed to equip them with the necessary knowledge and procedures to effectively carry out their duties.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by the members to serve their constituencies with integrity and dedication. The newly elected body is expected to focus on key development projects, including infrastructure improvements, healthcare access, and education initiatives in the rural areas of the Sadar block.
