Northern Railway’s Lucknow divisional railway manager (DRM) Sunil Kumar Verma conducted an inspection of the Lucknow–Alamnagar–Transport Nagar–Utretia rail section on Saturday, reviewing passenger amenities, cleanliness standards and commercial activities at stations along the route.
Alamnagar station review
At Alamnagar station, Verma examined the station building, entry and exit points, drinking water facilities, water coolers and drainage arrangements. He directed officials to prioritise passenger convenience and maintain high cleanliness standards, according to a Northern Railway statement.
Transport Nagar station focus
At Transport Nagar station, the DRM stressed the need to expand commercial activities and optimise the use of available space. He also emphasised maintaining cleanliness in both station and parking areas to improve the overall passenger experience.
Utraitia junction progress
During his visit to Utraitia junction, Verma inspected the under-construction station building and reviewed the progress of ongoing works. He instructed officials to ensure cleanliness on the station premises and at the main entrance area while exploring opportunities to boost revenue through enhanced commercial activities.
The inspection reflects Northern Railway's commitment to improving infrastructure and services for passengers in the Lucknow division.
