"Around 50% of supply was restored within 30 minutes, and about 90% within 60 minutes," the official explained, highlighting the rapid response efforts undertaken to minimize disruption.

The outage also impacted Tata Power changeover consumers who receive supply through Adani Electricity lines in parts of the suburbs. However, a senior Tata Power official clarified that only a limited number of their consumers experienced disruption, suggesting the problem was primarily confined to the Adani network infrastructure.

The power failure posed significant risks to vulnerable residents, with one consumer highlighting a medical emergency on social media. "Kindly resolve at the earliest. Senior citizen on oxygen at home," the tweet read, underscoring how sudden outages can endanger those dependent on electrical medical equipment.
In Malad, the blackout had cascading effects as electric pumps stopped functioning, disrupting water supply in several buildings. Many residents found themselves unable to access stored water, compounding the inconvenience caused by the electricity failure.

Congress Mumbai chief and MP Varsha Gaikwad addressed the situation on social media, stating, "This is a rare occurrence in Mumbai. I hope proper investigation is undertaken to determine the cause so it doesn't recur again." She also expressed hope that alternative power sources had been provided to emergency services like hospitals.
