Lucknow Officials Meet to Streamline Electricity and Development Coordination
In a significant move to enhance operational efficiency, a high-level meeting was convened in Lucknow on Monday to address coordination challenges between the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) and the electricity department. The session, chaired by Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar, aimed to resolve pending issues related to development and cleanliness projects across the city.
Priority on Sanitation Power Load Applications
During the detailed discussions, it was highlighted that applications for increasing electricity load for specific sanitation installations were languishing. Officials revealed that the Lucknow Swachhta Abhiyan had previously submitted requests to enhance the load for 12 electricity connections, crucial for maintaining hygiene standards. Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar directed electricity department officials to expedite these cases on a priority basis, emphasizing the importance of uninterrupted power for sanitation efforts.
Road Cutting Permissions and CM Grid Project Review
The electricity department raised concerns regarding road cutting permissions, requesting that these be granted in a time-bound manner to facilitate infrastructure upgrades. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the progress of the CM Grid project, a key initiative aimed at improving power distribution. Officials were instructed to maintain close coordination and provide scheduled power shutdowns when necessary, ensuring that project work continues as planned without delays.
Key Attendees and Future Coordination
Senior officials from the municipal corporation attended the meeting, including Additional Municipal Commissioner Lalit Kumar, Chief Engineers Mahesh Verma, and Manoj Prabhat. Their presence underscored the commitment to fostering better inter-departmental collaboration. The discussions concluded with a focus on establishing regular communication channels to prevent future bottlenecks and accelerate development projects in Lucknow.
