New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has given his approval to the nomination of Bharatiya Janata Party functionary Satish Upadhyay as the vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). This decision marks a significant administrative move in the capital's water management body.

Appointments Approved for DJB Governing Body

Along with Upadhyay, the Lieutenant Governor has also approved the nominations of three other individuals as members of the DJB governing body. These include MLAs Manoj Kumar Shokeen and Ajay Mahawar, as well as Rajesh Kumar Goel, who serves as a representative of the Delhi Cantonment Board.

Proposal from Delhi Government

The appointments were made following a formal proposal submitted by the Delhi government. The nominations have been approved for a tenure of two years, ensuring stability and continuity in the board's leadership.
