Kurukshetra University (KU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Som Nath Sachdeva met Haryana Governor and KU Chancellor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh at Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh on Friday. During the meeting, Sachdeva briefed the Governor on the university's accomplishments in academics, research, sports, and cultural activities.
Key Achievements Highlighted
Sachdeva informed the Governor that KU has secured the 35th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), reflecting its growing prominence among India's top higher education institutions. He also noted that the university has received the prestigious Platinum Award for outstanding implementation of the National Education Policy-2020.
Focus on Quality and Innovation
The VC emphasized that KU is strengthening its focus on quality education, research, innovation, skill development, and holistic student growth. Various academic and developmental initiatives are underway to enhance the institution's national and international standing.
Governor's Remarks
Chancellor Ghosh praised KU's consistent excellence in academics, research, science, sports, and cultural activities. He expressed satisfaction with the university's progress and lauded the efforts of faculty, researchers, staff, and students.
