KPSC Reform Steps Aligned with Public Sentiments: Gowda

Karnataka Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has outlined a series of steps to reform the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) in line with public expectations. Speaking to the media, he emphasized that the recruitment of staff and employees across various government departments will now be conducted through the KPSC every year, with a pre-announced schedule to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Annual Recruitment Schedule

The minister stated that a clear timetable for recruitment will be released, allowing candidates to prepare in advance. This move aims to address the long-standing demand for predictability in the hiring process. 'The recruitment of staff and employees of various departments will be done through the KPSC every year, and a schedule will be released,' Gowda said.

Karnataka Examinations Authority

As part of the reforms, the government is also considering the establishment of a Karnataka Examinations Authority to streamline the examination process. This body would oversee the conduct of tests, ensuring fairness and reducing delays. The minister assured that all changes are being made after considering public feedback and suggestions.
