Karnataka Chief Minister Shivakumar on Thursday announced the establishment of two new secretariats aimed at strengthening governance in the state. The first secretariat will focus on addressing public grievances, while the second will cater to the needs of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). The announcement was made by reporter Pearl Dsouza.
Dedicated Minister for Public Grievances
A minister will be specifically appointed to handle public grievances. Citizens facing administrative issues will have the opportunity to voice their concerns at least three times a week. Each grievance will be thoroughly examined for its legality and factual basis before any action is taken.
Commitment to a Corruption-Free Government
Chief Minister Shivakumar emphasized that officials should not face pressure from any caste, religion, or even from his office or those of ministers, whether present or past. The primary goal is to ensure a corruption-free government that operates with transparency and accountability.
This initiative is part of the state government's ongoing efforts to improve administrative efficiency and address the concerns of both residents and the NRI community effectively.
