Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the IAS Service Meet-2025 at the Academy of Administration in Bhopal, delivering a powerful address on the pivotal role of India's administrative officers in shaping the nation's democratic fabric.
CM Yadav's Tribute to Sardar Patel and the IAS
In his keynote speech, the Chief Minister traced the roots of India's post-Independence administrative framework to the visionary efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He emphasized that it was the administrative officers who played the most critical part in the monumental transition from the rule of kings to a vibrant democracy. Yadav described India's constitutional system as federal, noting that Madhya Pradesh officers have successfully coordinated with the Centre and other states, thereby enhancing the state's stature on the national stage.
Madhya Pradesh: A Laboratory of Innovation
CM Yadav painted Madhya Pradesh as a dynamic hub of progress. "Madhya Pradesh is like a laboratory where continuous innovations occur in many fields—several adopted across India and the world," he stated. This characterization underscores the state's role as a testing ground for policies and initiatives that have found wider acceptance.
Looking at the broader national picture, Yadav invoked the prophecy of Swami Vivekananda, who believed the 21st century would belong to India. "Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, this dream is coming true," Yadav asserted. He highlighted India's elevated global standing, stating that every country now seeks friendship with a nation that capably faces every challenge.
The IAS: India's Global Backbone
The Chief Minister reserved high praise for the Indian Administrative Service, crediting it as the foundation of India's resilience. "On the strength of Indian Administrative Service officers, India stands firm globally," he said. He commended the service for discharging its immense responsibilities with strength and unwavering commitment, despite the country's vast diversities.
The inaugural session was attended by a distinguished gathering including Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, several retired officers, and IAS officers of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. During the event, CM Yadav was honored with a memento.
Manu Shrivastava, President of the Madhya Pradesh IAS Association and Additional Chief Secretary, indicated that the meet would deliberate on the success of new ventures. P Narhari, the organising committee chairman, noted that under Yadav's leadership, state service work is proceeding with full dignity.
