In a significant move towards participatory governance, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated a novel AI-based portal on Tuesday, designed to directly involve citizens in the state's budget formulation process. The launch, aligned with the ambitious Haryana Vision 2047, took place during a pre-budget consultation session in Gurgaon.
A Portal for Every Citizen
The newly introduced platform, named 'Haryana Budget Janbhagidari', is set to democratize financial planning by inviting practical suggestions from the public, experts, and stakeholders. To ensure inclusivity across all sections of society, the portal accepts inputs in three languages: Haryanvi, Hindi, and English. The portal was scheduled to become operational by Tuesday night or Wednesday at the latest.
Chief Minister Saini emphasized that this initiative reflects his government's unwavering commitment to transparency and citizen-centric governance. "Through this portal, citizens, experts and stakeholders will be able to share practical suggestions and help make the budget-making process more open, continuous and dialogue-driven," Saini stated during the session.
Aligning Suggestions with Vision 2047
Saini highlighted the critical timing of this public outreach, noting that as Haryana advances towards its Vision 2047 goals, the insights from the public and domain experts become even more valuable. He mentioned that preliminary presentations from various government departments had already surfaced key ideas focused on innovation, employment generation, and knowledge-based development.
"Today Haryana is emerging as a focal point as a food producer, employment generator and centre of innovation," the CM remarked, expressing confidence in the state's rapid progress. He credited the collective efforts of its people, from farmers ensuring food security to the youth serving in the armed forces, for carving Haryana's distinct identity in agriculture, sports, and industry.
Gurgaon Sessions Kickstart the Dialogue
To personally drive this engagement, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is holding a series of meetings with stakeholders in Gurgaon on Tuesday and Wednesday to gather their feedback. He asserted that Haryana is progressing with improved financial management and effective scheme implementation aimed at uplifting every societal segment.
"With collective efforts, Haryana is actively contributing to the national interest and the state will always remain at the forefront of the development journey," Saini added, underscoring the state's role in the nation's growth narrative. The launch of the AI-based Janbhagidari portal marks a concrete step in transforming budget-making from a closed-door exercise into a collaborative public dialogue.
