Haryana Chief Minister Mandates Real-Time Monitoring of Mega Infrastructure Projects
In a decisive move to accelerate development, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued strict directives for the close monitoring and expedited execution of mega infrastructure projects across the state. Presiding over a high-level review meeting at the State Pragati Dashboard in Chandigarh on Wednesday, the CM emphasized that all major projects costing over Rs 75 crore must be uploaded to the dashboard to enable real-time tracking at every administrative level.
Strict Oversight and Penalties for Delays
Chief Minister Saini made it clear that maintaining quality and adhering to timelines are non-negotiable priorities. Taking a serious view of any delays, he warned that lapses or slowdowns by executing agencies would not be tolerated. The CM instructed officials to impose penalties as per prescribed norms against agencies found responsible for project delays, ensuring accountability and efficiency in project management.
Review of Key Projects
During the meeting, the chief minister reviewed eight mega projects under the Town and Country Planning Department and the Urban Local Bodies Department. He directed concerned officials to ensure the timely completion of these initiatives so that the benefits reach citizens without unnecessary delays. The focus is on enhancing urban infrastructure and public services through these critical developments.
Emphasis on Transparency and Efficiency
The directive to upload projects to the State Pragati Dashboard underscores a commitment to transparency and streamlined governance. This system allows for continuous oversight, helping to identify bottlenecks early and facilitate swift corrective actions. By leveraging technology for real-time monitoring, the Haryana government aims to boost project execution speeds and deliver infrastructure improvements more effectively to the people.
