Union Minister Reviews Gurgaon Infrastructure Projects, Emphasizes Minimal Disruption
Union Minister and Member of Parliament Rao Inderjit Singh conducted a comprehensive review of key infrastructure projects in Gurgaon, with particular focus on the relocation of the Kherki Daula toll plaza and multiple highway developments. During the meeting, Singh directed officials to accelerate the shifting process while ensuring smooth, safe, and uninterrupted movement for villagers and daily commuters throughout the construction phase.
Pachgaon Emerges as Strategic Growth Zone
The minister highlighted that Pachgaon is rapidly emerging as a crucial growth zone for the region, with significant development projects on the horizon. "Pachgaon Chowk area is going to be extremely important from a development perspective in the future," stated Singh. He emphasized that the proposed Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) industrial area would generate substantial employment opportunities, while the planned 'Namo Bharat' train station under the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project would enhance connectivity.
"In such a situation, shifting Pachgaon Toll Plaza and ensuring no obstruction in the movement of local residents, farmers and commuters is the primary responsibility of the administration," the Union minister asserted. He instructed all concerned departments to collaboratively prepare a practical proposal within one week and present it to police authorities, followed by a coordination meeting specifically addressing traffic management arrangements.
Highway Construction Progress and Deadlines
During the same meeting, Singh reviewed the ongoing construction work on the Gurgaon-Pataudi-Rewari National Highway Number 352-W in meticulous detail. Officials provided updates indicating that the route connecting to the KMP Expressway would be fully operational for traffic by February 15, promising significant relief for area residents. The northern section of this road is targeted for completion by the first week of March.
However, construction work on railway flyovers near Pahadi village remains ongoing. The minister issued clear instructions to complete this work within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining strict quality standards. "There should be no compromise on the quality of construction work, and the work should be completed in a time-bound manner," Singh clarified.
Addressing Traffic Congestion Concerns
The review also covered traffic congestion issues arising from flyover construction at Bilaspur Chowk. Singh emphasized the necessity of implementing effective alternative traffic management arrangements to prevent unnecessary inconvenience to the general public. Additionally, he examined progress on the under-construction flyover at Rathiwas bus stop, directing concerned officials to expedite construction activities to provide area residents with relief from traffic jams as quickly as possible.
The comprehensive review underscores the government's commitment to infrastructure development while prioritizing citizen convenience and safety throughout construction phases. The coordinated approach between multiple departments aims to ensure seamless execution of these critical projects that will shape Gurgaon's transportation landscape for years to come.
