The Gujarat state government on Tuesday issued charge arrangement orders for six officers, comprising four IAS officers and two GAS officers. According to a notification from the General Administration Department (GAD), Sanjay Modi, who serves as executive director of the Gujarat State Tribal Development Residential Educational Institution Society (GSTDREIS), will now hold an additional charge as the executive director of the Gujarat State Tribal Development Corporation.
New Roles for IAS and GAS Officers
Yogesh Nirgude, currently serving as additional development commissioner, has been given the additional charge of the post of District Development Officer (DDO) in Gandhinagar. Rachit Raj, who is the director of the Scheduled Castes Welfare department, will now also serve as the Managing Director of the Gujarat Unreserved Educational and Economical Development Corporation, in addition to his existing duties.
Prashasti Pareek, the Managing Director of the Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Ltd, will hold the additional charge of the post of additional rural development commissioner. This move is aimed at streamlining administrative functions and ensuring efficient management of rural development initiatives.
Additional Charges for GAS Officers
Two Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officers have also been assigned additional responsibilities. S D Tabiyar, currently the director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in Dang, will now also hold the additional charge of DDO in Dang. Similarly, H P Joshi, director of DRDA in Devbhumi Dwarka, will take on the additional charge of DDO in Devbhumi Dwarka.
The notification stated that these appointments are effective immediately and are intended to enhance administrative efficiency in the respective districts and departments.
