Andhra Govt Denies Irregularities in DSC-2025 Teacher Recruitment, Calls Process Transparent
Govt Denies Irregularities in DSC-2025 Teacher Recruitment

The Andhra Pradesh state government on Thursday categorically denied any irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process, asserting that the entire selection was conducted transparently and in strict adherence to rules. School Education Secretary Kona Sasidhar stated that there was no possibility of question paper leakage or data manipulation, as the recruitment process was fully digitized with multiple security checks.

Government Clarifies Recruitment Process

Addressing the media alongside Special Chief Secretary (Sports) Ajay Jain and Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Bharani, Sasidhar announced that the government will issue another notification for the mega DSC in October and conduct examinations in December 2026 as per the job calendar. He urged candidates to prepare for the next examination to secure government service.

Response to Allegations

Responding to doubts raised by candidates and allegations circulating on social media regarding horizontal reservations, sports quota, and recruitment procedures, Sasidhar dismissed such claims as baseless. He explained that the delay in filling approximately 6,100 teacher posts notified in 2024 was due to the need for legal clarity in implementing horizontal reservations following Supreme Court and High Court judgments, as well as coordinating the TET-DSC process to avoid confusion among candidates.

Sasidhar emphasized that only authorized officials had access to the system, and only two permanent employees were given data upload permissions. Passwords were changed regularly, and safeguards were in place to prevent unauthorized access, ruling out the possibility of paper leaks or data leaks. The merit list was prepared as per norms, with 20% weightage given to TET marks and 80% to DSC marks. TET marks were already made available on the official website.

Clarification on Certificate Verification

Sasidhar clarified that receiving a certificate verification call letter does not guarantee final selection. The final selection would be based on reservation rules, verification of certificates, and eligibility criteria. If any candidate is found ineligible during verification, the next eligible candidate would get an opportunity.

Sports Quota Selection Explained

Ajay Jain elaborated on the sports quota selection process, stating that only achievements in recognized competitions such as national games, national championships, All India Inter-University competitions, South Zone Inter-University events, state championships, and international competitions were considered under the present rules. Participation in inter-collegiate competitions was not considered for the current DSC recruitment.

He revealed that 382 candidates were part of the DSC-2025 sports quota selection, including 22 gold medal winners, 40 silver medal winners, 43 bronze medal winners, and 275 participants in national and state-level competitions. Every sports certificate was verified through scrutiny committees, sports associations, universities, and official records before finalizing eligibility.
