The Swargiya Bhanutai Gadkari Rural Development Trust was established in memory of Bhanutai Gadkari, mother of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Major Jakate revealed that his decision to contribute to the trust was influenced by both his personal association with the Gadkari family and his admiration for the organization's meaningful work. The veteran officer shares a long-standing relationship with the family that spans many years.
Currently residing at Panchavati Old Age Home on Umred Road in Nagpur, Major Jakate reflected on his thoughtful decision. "I saved this money from my pension and felt it should be used for social work. I am satisfied that it will be put to good use through the trust," he stated with evident contentment.
