TVK Villivakkam candidate Aadhav Arjuna cast his vote in Chennai during polling in Tamil Nadu and described the day as a strong reflection of democratic participation. He claimed voter turnout in Chennai could exceed 80 percent, while statewide participation may reach up to 90 percent.
Concerns Over Election Arrangements
While praising voter enthusiasm, Arjuna also raised concerns over election day arrangements, alleging poor transport planning and hardship faced by voters in multiple areas. He said a complaint would be filed with the Election Commission over the alleged lapses in execution and management during polling.
Voter Turnout Expectations
Arjuna expressed optimism about the high voter turnout, noting that the enthusiasm of the electorate was evident across Chennai and the state. However, he emphasized that logistical shortcomings must be addressed to ensure a smooth voting experience for all citizens.
