Amit Shah: No Infiltration in Bengal After BJP Wins

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday declared that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins the 2026 West Bengal assembly elections, no one will be able to infiltrate the state. Addressing a public rally in North 24 Parganas district, Shah said the BJP government would seal the borders and deport all illegal immigrants.

Strong Action Against Infiltration

Shah accused the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) of allowing infiltration for vote bank politics. He said, 'The TMC has opened the borders for illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. After the BJP comes to power, we will identify and deport each infiltrator.' He added that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) would be implemented in the state to grant citizenship to persecuted minorities.

Development Agenda

The Home Minister also highlighted the BJP's development agenda for West Bengal, promising to bring central schemes like Ayushman Bharat and PM Awas Yojana to every household. He criticized the TMC government for corruption and lack of development, citing the 'Sundarban Development Package' as a model for progress.
