Railways Announces Special Trains for BPSC AEDO Exam Candidates in Bihar
In a significant move to support thousands of examination aspirants, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of special trains across key routes in Bihar. These services are scheduled for April 15, 18, and 21, specifically aimed at easing travel for candidates appearing for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination for the post of assistant education development officer (AEDO). The exams are set to take place at multiple centers across the state, necessitating enhanced transportation arrangements.
Key Routes and Operational Details
According to R K Singh, the public relations officer (PRO) of the Samastipur division, the special trains will operate on several crucial routes. These include the Muzaffarpur-Patliputra Junction, Darbhanga-Hajipur-Patliputra Junction, Samastipur-Hajipur-Patliputra Junction, and Bettiah-Hajipur-Patliputra Junction routes. All these routes fall under the jurisdiction of the Samastipur division of the East Central Railway (ECR), which is actively coordinating the logistical arrangements to ensure smooth operations.
Examination Schedule and Expected Passenger Surge
The BPSC AEDO examinations are scheduled across multiple days: April 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 21, with two sittings each day. With a large number of aspirants anticipated to travel to various examination centers, the railways expects heavy passenger traffic during this period. The PRO emphasized that the railways is committed to providing safe and convenient travel for all examinees, and these additional services are designed to manage the surge in passengers effectively.
"The railways is dedicated to ensuring that candidates can reach their destinations on time without hassle," said R K Singh. "These special trains will help alleviate congestion and provide a reliable travel option for those appearing in the exams."
Advice for Candidates
Candidates are strongly advised to check train schedules and timings in advance to plan their journeys accordingly. This proactive planning can help avoid last-minute disruptions and ensure a stress-free travel experience to the examination centers.
The initiative underscores the railways' role in supporting educational and recruitment processes in Bihar, particularly during high-stakes examinations like the BPSC AEDO test. By deploying special trains, the authorities aim to minimize travel-related challenges and contribute to the overall success of the examination process.
