Suspect Taken to Central Investigation Centre in Jaipur

Late Friday evening, the suspect was taken to the Central Investigation Centre in Jaipur for intensive interrogation. Multiple security and intelligence agencies are expected to question him there. Officials said that several significant details emerged during the initial investigation conducted at the Joint Investigation Centre in Jaisalmer.

Suspect Identified as Mustaq Ali

According to reliable official sources, the suspect has been identified as Mustaq Ali, son of Nabibaksha, aged around 27–28 years, a resident of Hingolo Ki Dhani in the Nachna area of Jaisalmer district. During questioning by the special team from Jaipur, he allegedly stated that his cousin, who lives in Pakistan's Rahim Yar Khan district, introduced him in June 2024 to an ISI handler and instructed him to provide photographs, videos and information related to military movements and other strategically important activities on the ground in Jaisalmer.

The suspect reportedly told investigators that, acting on his cousin's instructions, he began sending ground photographs and videos to ISI handlers via mobile phone. He allegedly shared whatever images and videos the handlers specifically requested.

Details of Espionage Activities

Sources said he admitted to sending a large number of photographs and videos of water points, hospitals, border roads, military movements, the outer areas of the Jaisalmer Military Station and other important infrastructure installations across the border through mobile communication.

In return, small amounts of money were allegedly deposited into the bank accounts of the suspect, his friends and some relatives through ISI-linked agents operating in India. Preliminary investigations indicate that around Rs 25,000 may have been transferred in multiple instalments.

Officials stated that, based on intelligence inputs regarding his suspicious activities and possible involvement in anti-national operations, the suspect was detained and later taken to Jaipur for further detailed interrogation.
