India's High Commission in Malaysia Seeks Family of Deceased Andhra Woman

The High Commission of India in Malaysia is actively searching for information about the family of a woman from Andhra Pradesh. This woman passed away in a hospital in Malaysia. The Commission is reaching out to the Indian community for assistance. They need help to identify and contact the family of the deceased.

Details of the Deceased

The deceased woman is identified as Bommavaram Sankaramma. She hailed from Konaiangaripalli in Andhra Pradesh. According to the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur, she died on December 21, 2025. The cause of death was ischaemic heart disease resulting from coronary artery disease.

Efforts to Trace the Family

The Federation of NRI Cultural Associations (FNCA) in Malaysia received information about her death on January 13. They were asked to help trace her family because no other details were available. Bureddy Mohan Reddy, the president of FNCA Malaysia, spoke to TOI over the phone from Malaysia. He said, "We contacted the APNRT to trace the family of the deceased. We were informed that the family possibly hails from Kadapa."

The Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society in AP is now making efforts to find the family. They are using the limited details available to them.

Lack of Information

Authorities learned about her death through the hospital in Kuala Lumpur. However, they have very little information about her life in Malaysia. Key details are missing:

  • Where she worked
  • The nature of her job
  • When she arrived in Kuala Lumpur
  • Contact numbers of her employer or family members

It is only known that someone left her at the hospital because she was unwell. This lack of information is making the search for her family more challenging.
