The 45th Provincial Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's (ABVP) Karnataka South Province concluded with a strong reaffirmation of its foundational ideology. Held at the Gowda Samaj in Madikeri, the event saw national and regional leaders rallying students around the core principle of putting the nation first while addressing contemporary challenges.
National Leaders Warn Against External Influence on Youth
S Balakrishna, the national co-organising secretary of the ABVP, delivered a pivotal address at the gathering. He asserted that the organization remains unwavering in its mission to strengthen the country. Balakrishna issued a cautionary note, stating that certain western powers are actively trying to plant anti-national ideas in the minds of young Indians to destabilize the nation.
However, he expressed optimism, observing a significant counter-trend. According to him, today's youth are increasingly re-engaging with India's ancient culture and heritage. This reconnection, he believes, is enabling them to contribute effectively to rebuilding the nation on a solid and virtuous cultural foundation.
International Athlete Arjun Devaiah Champions Self-Belief
Inaugurating the conference, international athlete Arjun Devaiah shifted the focus to personal development as a pillar of national strength. He underscored the critical importance of self-confidence for students aiming to make a mark.
"With self-confidence, one can achieve anything at the international level," Devaiah stated. He advocated for a disciplined blend of hard work, academic pursuit, and dedicated practice as the formula for positive life transformation. The athlete also reminded students of their social responsibilities, emphasizing that a strong and focused mind is indispensable for achieving true success.
Showcasing Activities and Recognizing Presence
The event was marked by the inauguration of an exhibition that detailed the ABVP's wide-ranging activities and initiatives. This exhibition was formally opened by Padma Shri awardee Rani Machaiah.
The conference witnessed participation from key ABVP functionaries from the region. Notable attendees included ABVP Karnataka South region president Ravi Mandya, reception committee president M Eshwar Bhat, state secretary Gopiranga Swamy, national executive member Mandarabalugodu, and reception committee general secretary Ramesh Holla.
The conclave served as a platform to consolidate the student wing's vision, blending cultural pride with a call for proactive nation-building from the younger generation.
