Special Assistance Drive and Dedicated PRM Booths
Airport officials recently conducted a targeted special assistance drive focused on PRM and elderly passengers, underscoring their commitment to accessibility. As part of this initiative, the airport has installed specialized PRM assistance booths staffed by trained personnel. These booths are strategically positioned to provide immediate and proper care, ensuring that passengers receive the support they need from the moment they arrive until they depart.
Historic Stairlift Installation at Terminal 2
In a groundbreaking move, Jaipur airport has become the first in India to install a stairlift at the departures and arrivals area of Terminal 2. This innovative chair-like lift system facilitates safe and effortless inter-floor movement for passengers with mobility challenges, eliminating the barriers posed by stairs and enhancing overall accessibility within the terminal.
Comprehensive Wheelchair Assistance and Dedicated Facilities
The airport has expanded its wheelchair assistance services, now available from the entry point all the way to the boarding gates. Additionally, dedicated check-in counters and special seating areas near these counters have been established exclusively for PRM and elderly passengers.
