The holy city of Varanasi is witnessing meticulous preparations for the upcoming Ravidas Jayanti celebrations, scheduled to commence on February 1. The Shri Guru Ravidas Janmasthal Charitable Trust (GRJCT), in collaboration with Sant Niranjan Das, the revered head of the All-India Ravidassiya Dharm, is orchestrating a three-day spiritual extravaganza that promises to draw devotees from across the nation and abroad.
Arrival of Sant Niranjan Das and Preparations at the Birthplace
Sant Niranjan Das is set to arrive in Varanasi on Friday, embarking on a special train journey from Jalandhar accompanied by fellow seers, trustees, and a multitude of devotees. Prior to his arrival, all necessary arrangements have been finalized at the Seer Govardhanpur area, the birthplace of the 15th-century poet saint, Guru Ravidas. The GRJCT has extended invitations to prominent political figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, although confirmations are still pending.
Comprehensive Event Schedule and Infrastructure
The celebrations will officially kick off on the night of January 31 with the ceremonial lighting of lamps at Ravidas Park. The following morning, the hoisting of the Ravidassiya flag will mark the beginning of the main festivities, followed by lamp lighting at the temple and the commencement of Satsang. A fully operational tent city has been established to accommodate the influx of followers, with langar services already in full swing for early arrivals.

In anticipation of large crowds, the administration has mandated the closure of all liquor shops in the vicinity and is implementing a detailed listing system for tableau organizers and their teams to ensure orderly conduct.
