Surat's Yashvi Foundation to Host Mass Wedding for 101 Fatherless Daughters

In a heartwarming display of community support, the Yashvi Foundation Charitable Trust is set to organize a mass wedding ceremony for 101 fatherless daughters in Surat on March 14. This event marks the foundation's third all-community mass wedding initiative, showcasing a growing commitment to social welfare.

Expanding Social Impact Over Three Years

The programme began in 2024 with the marriage of 21 daughters, followed by 51 weddings in 2025. In its third year, the foundation has significantly expanded the initiative to include marriages for 101 daughters, demonstrating a progressive increase in scale and outreach.

One of the organizers shared the foundation's emotional approach, stating, "We share the same emotions and enthusiasm that a family experiences when a daughter begins a new chapter in life. Our aim is to conduct all wedding rituals with full responsibility—from the Paanetar ceremony and mehendi function to complete wedding arrangements, including customary gifts."

Comprehensive Wedding Arrangements

The foundation ensures that every aspect of the wedding is handled with care and tradition. Key elements include:

  • Paanetar ceremony and mehendi function
  • Complete wedding arrangements
  • Customary gifts for the brides
  • All rituals performed with full responsibility

Broader Charitable Initiatives

Beyond mass weddings, the Yashvi Foundation has been actively involved in other charitable activities. For the past three years, it has been organizing Navratri celebrations for cancer patients, highlighting its dedication to supporting vulnerable communities in various ways.

This mass wedding event not only provides financial and logistical support but also fosters a sense of belonging and celebration for the daughters and their families, reinforcing the foundation's role in promoting social cohesion in Surat.
