Khatu Shyam Temple's Grand Dhwaj Procession Draws Massive Crowds in Lucknow
The Khatu Shyam Temple in Lucknow witnessed an extraordinary turnout on Thursday as devotees gathered in large numbers for the grand Dhwaj procession, a key event marking the pre-Holi celebrations. The vibrant religious spectacle captivated the city with its spiritual fervor and colorful displays.
Procession Route and Devotional Atmosphere
The 7 km-long procession commenced from DAV College in Aishbagh and concluded at the Shri Shyam temple located on the Unnao bypass. The route passed through several prominent areas including Ganeshganj, Kaiserbagh, Parivartan Chauraha, and Hanuman Setu, creating a spiritual pathway through the heart of the city.
Devotees accompanied the yatra with a symphony of devotional sounds, including traditional drumbeats, contemporary DJ music, soulful kirtans, and elaborate live tableaux. The atmosphere was electric with religious enthusiasm as participants immersed themselves in the celebration.

Temple general secretary Rupesh Agrawal highlighted that the main attraction was a magnificent tableau featuring Shyam Baba. The beautifully decorated idol was adorned with colorful flowers, creating a visually stunning centerpiece for the procession.
