Art Exhibitions in Ahmedabad: A Visual Feast of Time, Connection, and Form
Ahmedabad is currently hosting three captivating art exhibitions that explore themes of temporality, human connection, and abstract balance. These events, running through late March and early April, offer free entry to the public, providing a rich cultural experience for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
The Poetry of Time: A Kinetic Masterpiece by Humans Since 1982
The Poetry of Time marks the debut solo exhibition in India by Humans Since 1982, a Stockholm-based studio renowned for blending art, design, and technology. This groundbreaking presentation transforms the concept of time into a visual and conceptual journey, featuring their iconic kinetic works A Million Times and ClockClock 24.
In this exhibition, synchronized clock hands shift seamlessly between precision and playful abstraction, creating dynamic patterns that emerge, dissolve, and reassemble in mesmerizing sequences. The pieces blur the boundaries between functional objects and moving artworks, inviting viewers to contemplate temporality as both a structured framework and a sensory experience.
The show also introduces new collaborative editions developed with Pinakin Design, extending the dialogue into vibrant explorations of color, rhythm, and cross-cultural design influences. This collaboration adds a fresh layer of creativity, enhancing the immersive nature of the exhibition.
- When: Till April 4; 11am to 7pm daily
- Where: 079 | STORIES, Opposite Shaswat Bungalows, Rajpath-Rangoli Road, Ahmedabad

Maity employs color as both structure and atmosphere, allowing geometry to dissolve into expressive painterly techniques. The paintings invite viewers to engage with shifting perceptions of stability, depth, and form, tracing a dialogue between built environments and inner psychological states.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by notable figures Vrindavan Solanki and Manan Relia, adding a ceremonial touch to this artistic exploration. It offers a unique opportunity to experience how abstract art can convey complex ideas about balance and human experience.
